"We booked parallel 1 on the recommendation of a friend who stayed there. When we arrived, however, the apartment was already in use. The friendly and helpful staff person explained this to us and brought us to La Ramblas, which was not much like what we had booked; we shared a kitchen and bathroom with strangers. Had we been expecting this situation we would have chosen another place to stay. Do not offer specific places if you are not sure they are available. The linens at the hostel we stayed in were dingy. La Ramblas was a great tourist location. "
